We have been very blessed in the year of 2007. We took some time to reflect on what happened this past year. We started the year off in Belize, celebrated our first Anniversary in Cabo in April and visited Scott’s family in Abilene during May. During the month of July, we conceived our Baby Avery Grace, celebrated Dawn and Matt’s engagement, took a summer trip to Puerto Vallarta and then went on to Belize with friends. We traveled to New Mexico to visit Scott’s dad and extended family and spent Scott’s birthday in the Big Apple in September. We moved into our new home in October. November was a very difficult month as we lost our beloved grandfather. He will always be with us! We love you grandpa! December was filled with holiday spirit and much time spent with family. Hillary also turned 21 this month. Happy Birthday Hillary! Looking back at 2007, we have truly experienced life. We are so thankful for our health and happiness and look forward to a very exciting 2008.
Scott, Bentley, and I ventured to Austin for the New Year holiday. He always teases me that I just can’t sit still for very long. I guess he is right. Who can resist spending time in Austin? We are very fortunate that his parents have a home there and were very gracious to let us stay there. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! Dawn and Matt were in Austin as well so we met up for some must-have Mexican food at Maudie’s and then Matt and Scott went fishing at the golf course. Other highlights included taking a 2-mile walk at Barton Springs Trail and eating breakfast for lunch at Kirbey Lane Cafe. Yum! Yum! I will be craving those pancakes for a long time. For New Years, we decided to keep it pretty laid back so we went to dinner at Z Tejas to celebrate the upcoming year and called it a night. Staying up past 11pm isn’t as easy for me anymore.
We welcome 2008 and look forward to year full of happiness, love, and good health! Our lives will be forever changed with the arrival of Avery Grace.
Before leaving for our New Year’s Eve dinner:
