I missed Kelly’s Home Tour last Friday since we were out of town. We’ll be out of town a lot from here going forward so I believe this will be our home tour finale for the Show Us Where You Live Friday. The summer is so busy! Kelly, I’ve had so much fun getting ideas from everyone’s homes
Before I get to the home tour, I have make a post about Avery’s hugs and kisses so when I’m older, I can read back and remember these moments. Avery is really into giving hugs and kisses. Last night we were upstairs playing and I was holding Avery while talking to Scott and she wrapped her arms around my neck, started patting my back with her hands, and was saying Ahhhhh, Ahhhh while smiling. I am so in love with her! A little later, she was playing with her toys and I was still standing and talking to Scott and she came over, wrapped her arms around my legs in a big bear hug and rested her head against me. If heaven were a feeling, that would be it. Pure bliss! I just love those open mouth kisses and big hugs.
Okay, so now on to the home tour. I need your opinions! Let me know which house style you like best: A or B Please post your comments! Scott and I are trying to decide and I’m having a really hard time between the two. Weigh in on which you like best. I know there are plenty of gorgeous house styles out there but these are the two we’ve narrowed it down to. They are both Greek Revival but slightly different. I like the clean classic look of both of them.
Here is our Master Bedroom/Bathroom. The rooms are both darker because I forgot to turn the lights on. I just ran into quickly snap the pics and am too lazy to go back and redo them. The bathroom is my favorite part of the house. Our bedroom is unfinished. Once we decided we were moving, I really quit decorating. I actually don’t mind the minimalism. It’s kind of peaceful ![]()

House B
Beautiful Bath! I like both houses; they are somewhat similar. I think A looks like something you would see in LA and B looks more like an English country manor. Maybe it is just the setting or the angle of the photograph.
I can see why you love your bathroom – so nice! I personally like house B but I agree with the previous comment it kinda depends on the location as to which house I would pick. They are both nice houses though.
Hi found your blog through Kellys Korner house tours and love your blog.
I think house B!!

Man I love House A it seems like it’s your style with your decor and everything. Glad to see that you posted your masterbedroom and bath. Where did you get your bedding?
The bedding is from Horchow
I think given where you live, Texas right? I like A better. B reads Atlantic coast to me and I think the newer twist with the same traditional elements fits your setting better. Love all the millwork in your house.
Thanks so much for your inputs!
Both houses are here in Houston. It’s interesting because they look so different yet the architectural details are very similar. They do give off totally different vibes, don’t they?
DEFINITELY house “B”.
Tough call. I guess I’ll choose house B because of the hedge and wooden gate. I like the roof as well.
I like house B, though both are beautiful.
House B wins my vote. It reminds me of a larger version of the “father of the bride” house. It’s classic, the white facade with the black shutters is very all-american and stylish. I also think house B makes more of a statement from the street. The curb appeal is pretty amazing. House A is beautiful but doesn’t have the same appeal.
I vote B. And what pretty bedding you have!
While both are stunning homes, I pick House A. It is just beautiful!
Hello! I’m jumping over from Kelly’s blog. Your home is beautiful and I am in love, love with your master bath! Perfect! You are one lucky gal! Ohhhh…and the baby hugs and kisses…Don’t they just put you over the moon? I have 3 children and adore their love!
Totally voting for House B.
And your master is beautiful!
House B
Hi! I found your post at Kelly’s. What a beautiful master you have!!! I especially LOVE your vanity area.
As far as the houses, I can appreciate them both. A has more of a “showy-ness” about it to me, while B is more subtle. I think it would depend on what you like and what you are going for in a home. Me, personally, would like the front of B with the back of A!
House B. Love it!
Love your master bdrm and bath! From looking at all the rooms you’ve posted so far, I think house A suits you best. It has the cleaner lines to it and definitely does give off totally different vibes from house B. House A looks more contemporary for some reason and just like all your rooms and your furnishings. House B looks like it belongs somewhere on the East coast and really too traditional for what I’ve see of the inside of your beatiful home you have now.
Good luck with whatever you decide and be sure to let us know and at least try to post a few pictures of your adorable little Avery! We’d miss not getting to at least see more of Avery’s smiles!!

I LOVE House A!!! I think it’s more simple and classy. Although I wouldnt’ complain about living in House B either!! Ha!

I love house B! It’s classic!
House A because I know what you’re looking for…
House A is rather ugly. I like B better.
House B is beautiful and classic… but I think House A is more unique and fits your style better.
Where/when are y’all moving??
House B. It is just beautiful as is your master and bathroom.
Thanks for all your comments
!
I remember when they were building House A. I think I may have still been at Rice or perhaps just graduated. I definitely prefer House B because it looks more welcoming. Both are beautiful though.

First of all, why are you moving?! Your home now is gorgeous!
But my vote would definitely be for house B…all the way!
We are planning on moving because we want to have more indoor and outdoor space and also live in a great school district where we don’t necessarily have to send our kids to private schools. The thought of going through the whole process of building and all that goes with it is certainly a bit stressful because it is a lot of work but I think in the end it will be worth it for our family. Thanks for your comments!
I love house B!
