To me, photos are priceless. They capture a moment in time you will never get back. They are a huge part of our memory system because we easily forget as life passes. I love being able to capture these moments.

On another note, I love listening to Avery talk. Her version of words is so precious. It’s amazing how accurate she is with many words. Some cute ones that come to mind: (for you speech pathologists, this brings back memories of my transcription days without all the special characters) /seshup/ for ketchup, /Bet wee/ or /bee/ for Bentley, /peez/ for please, /sank tu/ for thank you, /sthoap/ for /soap/, /teasher/ for teacher
Milestones:
Her vocabulary is massive and she is repeating everything we say. I am always surprised by her yearning to learn. She knows her colors and is a whiz at puzzles. She’s learning to sing Twinkle, Twinkle and the alphabet. She loves books! When we read Good Night Moon, Foot Book, or Brown Bear, Brown Bear, she has them pretty much memorized because she knows what comes next.
She’s very good at giving directions. Ha! Tonight is a good example. She loves when I lay down and lift her high with my legs extended. She took me by the shoulders and pulled me down and then walked around to my legs and said “Feet! Feet!”
