Avery’s favorite show these days is Dora The Explorer. She is really interacting with the show and answering the questions that Dora asks during the show. Sometimes I’m not sure how she knows the answers. The other day Dora’s Backpack or “Packpack” as Avery calls it, was asking for an item that Dora could use to look at the Moon & a Little Star. The first item that came up was a colander and Backpack asked if Dora could use this to see the Moon and Little Star to which she replied “NOOOO”. The next was a telescope and she somehow knew this was what Dora needed and answered “YES”. She never ceases to amaze me as she learns. At the end of every show Dora sings and dances to the WE DID IT song and now Avery has joined in and the video is Avery’s version.
Avery DID it!

Too cute! It is amazing what little ones know–I really enjoy the experience with Kelby and Kevyn.
Guess as a grandmother, I appreciate it so much more. I was so busy raising those three sons of ours that I didn’t stop to smell the roses as often as I should have.
Congratulations on the second girl! Poor Scott–totally outnumbered like your dad.
That is too cute! My little girl love Dora too. Not only her, but Kyron my 4 year old likes Dora as well.
Soooo cute! She’s growing so fast.
i just discovered this blog and am looooving how i have heaps of posts to read! i am in love with your house and your girls are so cute! its a shame you already have a nanny- they look so fun! my sisters used to be the same when they were little- they could always preempt what was going to happen in a show… i never got it.
Hi Milly! Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comment. I do want to comment on your statement: “It’s a shame that we already have a nanny”. I run 5 large companies which is a more than full-time job and my husband runs 2 companies. Avery goes to school so she can get social interaction and develop skills that Nene would not be able to provide and rather than sending Olivia to a daycare outside the home, we choose to have her home with us and have a nanny so we can enjoy her during work breaks because we both work from home. It’s always a struggle to balance but having Nene has been the best blessing because we get to watch Olivia grow up here at home while still being able to run our companies. I feel that I get the best of both worlds…being able to work and maintain my identity as a businesswoman and also being a mom at home with my baby.
Best,
Amanda
Just noticed you did a whole post on this comment. I had a nanny when I was a kid and agree with all that you just said .. what I meant by my comment was I would love to be a nanny for those girls because of how cute and fun they look and it was a shame you already had a nanny for that reason. I myself am a nanny- so bagging them would not be worth my while- trust me! Although after re-reading my comment a few times I am beginning to see how you interpreted that.
Milly.
